Seekor.

For manufacturers

What we commit to, and what we need from you

Seekor buys from EU manufacturers and sells into Estonia. We build a dedicated Estonian store for your range at our own expense and sell there as the seller of record. We hold your recommended retail price, we list the full range, and we carry the Estonian compliance load as an EU-established buyer. Below is the whole arrangement, including the five things we ask you for.

The six things we commit to

  1. We build the store, and we pay for it

Your range gets a dedicated Estonian online store. We build it, we host it, we run it, and the cost is ours.

That means the domain, the shop itself, the Estonian category structure, the bank-link and instalment checkout, and the parcel-locker delivery integration. You are not asked for a setup fee, a listing fee, a marketing contribution or shelf-space payment. Your only outlay is the goods you were going to make anyway.

The domain is agreed with you. Some manufacturers want their own name on the shop; others prefer a category domain that does not tie it to one brand. We buy and hold it either way.

The three stores linked from this site were each built exactly like this, to launch a range.

We earn on the difference between your dealer price and your recommended retail price, and on nothing else. The full pricing page lists every charge we do not make.

  2. Price discipline

We list at your recommended retail price. We do not undercut your own webshop or your other markets.

Estonia is a small market next to Finland, Latvia and Sweden. A discounted Estonian listing is visible to your Finnish and Latvian dealers within a day, because price comparison in the Baltics is cross-border by default. We treat your RRP as the listing price and we say so in writing.

If you want a campaign price, you set the window and the depth. We run it and we put the price back afterwards.

  3. Full range, not cherry-picked

We take the whole line, including slow sizes and slow colours.

A reseller who lists only your three best sellers trains your customers to buy those three and nothing else. It also leaves your range looking thinner in Estonia than it is anywhere else.

On the pet furniture store we listed 97 SKUs from one manufacturer across nine product lines, at prices from 29 to 589 euros. That included the sizes and fabrics that sell a few units a year.

  4. Real localisation

Estonian product copy is written from your specifications, not machine-translated from your English site.

That means size charts with measured dimensions, material composition, washing and care instructions, and comparison tables between your own product lines. Estonian buyers compare on specification before they compare on price.

Estonian is also a legal requirement, not a nicety. The Consumer Protection Act § 4(3) states that information provided to a consumer shall be in Estonian unless the consumer has agreed to another language, and § 5(6) requires the labelling information listed in § 5(4) to be presented in writing and in Estonian.

  5. Local commerce rails Estonians actually use

Estonian shoppers pay by bank link and collect from a parcel locker. A card-only checkout with a courier-to-door option converts badly here.

We run bank-link payments (Swedbank, SEB, LHV, Luminor, Coop Pank), ESTO instalments, and delivery to SmartPosti and Omniva parcel lockers. We dropship, so the delivery estimate on each listing is built from your dispatch time and origin rather than invented. We would rather publish a slower date and hit it.

Support is answered in Estonian within one working day. Returns and warranty claims are handled locally under the two-year seller liability in the Law of Obligations Act § 218(2), so the customer never has to write to you in English.

  6. Compliance handled

You sell to an EU-established buyer. That removes most of the paperwork that makes a small market not worth entering.

Seekor is the trading name of Mervantis OÜ, register code 14412321, VAT EE102319631. Invoicing is intra-EU, so you invoice a VAT-registered EU business rather than Estonian consumers.

Estonian extended producer responsibility falls on whoever first makes the goods available on the Estonian market. That is us, not you. Title passes to us on each order and we are the seller of record to the Estonian consumer, so we are the party placing the goods on that market even though the parcel ships from your warehouse and never sits in a warehouse of ours. We arrange the packaging registration, and the WEEE and battery registration where the products need it, as part of onboarding the range. Registrations are completed per range at step 3 of the timeline below, before anything goes on sale.

GPSR listings name you as the manufacturer and responsible person under Regulation (EU) 2023/988. If your EU responsible person is a separate appointed company, we publish that company instead.

What we ask a manufacturer for

Grow-light category page on taimelamp.ee, in Estonian, showing the range and prices
One of the three stores we built and paid for. taimelamp.ee, lighting category. Cropped above the product titles, which carry brand names.

Five items. Nothing else is needed to start.

  1. Dealer price list and dealer terms

Net prices, minimum order value, payment terms, and any territory conditions you apply. We sign what you send.

  2. Product data

XML, CSV, API or EDI feed, or a spreadsheet. A spreadsheet is fine to start. We need SKU, EAN, name, dimensions, weight, material, and stock.

  3. Licence to use product images and specifications

A written licence for your photography and specification text for the Estonian market. We do not need exclusivity in it.

  4. Dropship to Estonian end customers

You ship each order from your own warehouse to the Estonian buyer, under our order. We do not buy stock and we are not asking you to hold any for us. What we need is a dispatch commitment we can publish, and parcel dimensions per SKU so the checkout quotes the right shipping cost.

  5. Clear returns and warranty process

Who pays return freight, what the fault reporting route is, and the replacement lead time. We handle the customer side in Estonian.

Onboarding timeline

Week counts below are what we have actually taken, not a best case. The clock starts when we have your price list and a product data file.

  1. We build the store

Week 1 to 4, in parallel

A dedicated Estonian store for your range, on a domain we agree with you, at our cost. Shop, category structure, bank-link and ESTO checkout, SmartPosti and Omniva delivery. This starts the day terms are signed and does not wait for your product data, so it runs alongside everything below rather than in front of it.

  2. Terms and data handover

    Week 1 to 2

We sign your dealer terms as written. You send the price list, the product data file and a written image and specification licence for the Estonian market. We come back with the SKU list we intend to publish first and the RRP we will hold.

  3. Estonian copy and catalogue build

    Week 2 to 6

We write Estonian product copy from your specifications. Size charts, materials, care instructions and comparison tables between your own lines. Images are cropped and compressed for the storefront. This is the longest step and it scales with SKU count, roughly 40 to 60 SKUs per week.

  4. Compliance, payment and delivery setup

Week 4 to 7, in parallel

Packaging registration for the range, plus WEEE or battery registration if the products need it. GPSR listing fields naming you as manufacturer and responsible person. Parcel locker size classes are assigned per SKU so shipping cost is right at checkout.

  5. Launch and first reorder cycle

    Week 7 to 10

Range goes live. We run paid search and price comparison feeds in Estonian. First reorder data reaches you inside four weeks of launch, so you can see which lines Estonia actually takes before you commit stock.

Questions manufacturers ask first

Do you ask for exclusivity in Estonia?

No. We do not ask for an exclusive territory and we do not need one to start. If you later want to give one, that is a separate conversation after you have seen a year of numbers.

What minimum order value do you work with?

Whatever your standard dealer terms say. We sign the terms you already give other dealers. We do not ask for a special first-order discount.

No. We list at your RRP and we put that in writing in the dealer agreement. Campaign pricing runs only on a window and a depth that you set.

Do you buy stock or do you dropship?

We dropship. We do not hold stock, so there is no minimum order to negotiate and no stock commitment on either side. That is also why we can take the full range rather than the fast movers: a slow colour in a slow size costs us nothing to list.

The trade-off is delivery time. Shipping from your warehouse to an Estonian parcel locker takes longer than shipping from Estonian stock, so we publish a longer delivery estimate and meet it. Estonian buyers accept a stated date. They do not accept a missed one.

Who is the responsible person under GPSR?

You are, as the EU manufacturer. Regulation (EU) 2023/988 requires a responsible person established in the EU, and an EU manufacturer already meets that. We publish your name and address in the listing. If you are outside the EU, we can discuss taking the responsible person role ourselves.

What happens to warranty claims?

The Estonian customer contacts us in Estonian. We triage, and only a confirmed manufacturing fault reaches you, in English, with photographs and the SKU. Under the Law of Obligations Act § 218(2) the seller is liable for a lack of conformity that becomes apparent within two years of delivery, and we are the seller.

How many SKUs can you take?

We have listed 353 SKUs from two brands on one store and 97 from a single brand on another. Catalogue build runs at roughly 40 to 60 SKUs per week, so a 200 SKU range is about four to five weeks of copy work.

Do you sell outside Estonia?

One of our three stores, sumeos.com, sells across the EU and the UK in 20 languages. The other two serve Estonia. If your dealer terms restrict us to Estonia, we list only on the Estonian stores.
